News from The Complete Set

July 2024 Post

Hello, it's the Complete Set here from sunny Brighton, UK!
We've been making music yet again, which has resulted in some fantastic new compositions and recordings as explained below:
(1) What's So Bad About Feeling Good?  A combination of late romantic classical music, jazz, blues, and pyschedelic rock. Have a listen to some excellent vocals, including some smooth backing singing!;

(2) The Centre of the Unknown  This instrumental piece combines blues, rock and latin jazz to create an unusual melodic and harmonic structure. In particular, note that the bridge and chorus are in different keys to the verse (modulation). Rhythmically, the piece has a latin jazz feel;and

(3) The Right Angle An amalgamation of jazz, rock, and contemporary classical music. The main section is in Amajor, but the 'verse' section starts in Fmajor, with a diminished 5th, but resolves in Emajor. The end section is improvised, combing pyschedelic rock with jazz.
